Frequently Asked Questions – Here’s What You Need to Know

Yes, packout of your contents as well as storage and pack back - are all covered by insurance. Packout service is in fact part of the same claim that you open for your water or smoke damage loss. That is why our services normally cost nothing out of packet to homeowners. Keep in mind that every insurance policy is different and while the absolute majority of policies have extensive contents coverage, it is always a good idea to confirm this with your adjustor or read your policy before our work begins.

Good news - we work with all insurance companies! And you do not need to worry about trying to figure it all out. We will contact your insurance adjustor for you and will settle the bill directly with them.

Contents can include furniture, bedding, clothes, dishes, electronic devices, paintings on the walls, jewelry, etc. In a nutshell, contents generally refers to anything within the home that can be relocated to another part of the home or offsite.

Depending on the loss and stage that needs packout (water damage after a flood, fire or smoke damage, abatement work, reconstruction part with replacement of continuous flooring etc) we will determine the best storage option with you. If space in your house or garage allows - we can safely perform contents manipulation within your home. Most commonly we use storage pods that we can place on your driveway for larger losses. In cases where contents need to be restored due to water or fire damage, your contents would be taken to our storage facility for cleaning, restoration and storage. We can also use local offsite storage with 24/7 security system in a gated facility.

Absolutely! After mitigation and repairs are completed, our crew will come back and return all of your furniture and contents just the way it was before the loss. As if it never happened. And if you are in the mood for a change, feel free to ask our crew to relocate items the way you want. We would be happy to accommodate your wishes now that all of the repairs are behind and you can finally enjoy your home fully again.

During the pack out, non-salvageable items will be documented in one of the best in the industry softwares that we use and we will produce a non-restorable list for your insurance provider. While we always do our best to bring your contents back to their pre-disaster condition, there are cases where this is not possible.
